_______________________________________________ The birds tweeped nonstop as Natalie laid on one of the wooden benches. Her neck at one edge causing her hair to be about a centimeter away from the ground and her legs dangled off the bench. Her silly little heels lay on the ground under her feet.
Her iPod played Patron Tequila by the Paradiso Girls, drowning out all the other noises. By the end of the night, Imma have you drunk and throwing up... She closed her eyes and just relaxed there on the bench... bored. There wasn't much more to do except chill but that was cool. She ran one of her hands through her hair out of boredom. If only there was something entertaining to do around here. She could go hangout with her friends but they were all busy, which sucked. Why she had never talked her parents into moving she had no clue. It was getting so old around this place.
Opening her eyes she watched as squirrels chased each other in trees above her and as birds flew by. Ahhh. The scenery was great and soothing around here. Almost entertaining if she was really into that kind of scenic stuff. She pushed herself up to where she was sitting on the bench now, her iPod slid inbetween her legs. She looked down to make sure her shoes were still there and yawned slightly. So, so boring...

HOW CAN I DECIDE WHATS RIGHT - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -when your clouding up my mind, Aleksander was tired of the noisy setting of the city grounds and longed for a little place of solitude. Things were just so stressful lately with his advanced placement classes and extra-curricular activities he wanted to escape it all for a few hours. So with his guitar case and a ragged notebook he made his way to the park.
The park, he decided was the perfect place to unwind and strum a few chords. His feet scuffled softly as he dragged them across the dull cobblestone leading into the park. The sun was a comfortable warm, not too hot, on the back of his neck and the breeze was that perfect brisk wisp of air. While others enjoyed the concrete jungle, Aleksander preferred the small dab of nature smacked in the middle of that congested city. Finding a comfortable spot near the ancient roots of a Maple he sat himself down and cradled the old acoustic guitar in his arms. Leaning his head back his face inclined towards the sky, bright and blue. Just the serenity of it all made Alek smile. Deep in his pocket Alek rummaged for his pick and started with a practice chord. Just as he was about to jump into song his eyes opened and he caught a glimpse of a relaxed body on a nearby bench.
Aleksander’s whole body went rigid and the pick screeched across the strings with a painful sound to the ear. Like a deer caught in headlights he stared, wide-eyed, at the bored girl across from him. His nervous stupor had completely consumed him, dragging him down with all his worries. Oh, no. She’s seen me… She’s going to talk to me. What if I can’t say anything back? What if she gets angry because I can’t will my mouth to move? A shaky hand replaced his pick into his deep pocket as he tried to form his lips into the word, “Hi.” Status:done. _______________________________________________ Looking around once more Natalie noticed someone else who she had not noticed before. Thank god she had had her ear plugs in and had not heard the sound of him playing the guitar, horribly. She pulled slightly on the cord to her ear plugs which caused them to fall out. Not bothering to turn off her iPod she locked it and wound the cord around them. She sat the iPod down beside her and reached for her shoes. Picking them up, she grabbed her iPod once more and stuffed it in her purse. Not bothering to put her shoes back on she held onto them and slipped her purse onto her arm where it wouldn't fall off.
Getting up from the bench Natalie walked barefoot over to the guy. She gave a friendly smile to him. "Hey thurr. And you aree?" Looking over the guy she noticed he seemed a bit... stiff or something like that. Hopefully he wasn't a shy one. Natalie was in the mood to talk to some talkative.

HOW CAN I DECIDE WHATS RIGHT - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -when your clouding up my mind, As the girl planted each foot in front of her, slowly inching closer to him his nervousness would intensify exponentially. That horrifying moment that had displayed not too long ago of him producing that ear-splitting tune was on non-stop repeat in his mind. Playing like a DVD stuck on an unfortunate scene. So when the girl cheerfully introduced herself he almost didn’t catch it. The movement of her lips caught his attention and wrenched him from his never ending personal horror film. “You are?” were the coupled words that reached his ears and from those two syllables and her questioning tone he deduced that she was questioning his identity. He unhinged his rusty jaw and with a dry chalky mouth uttered, “Aleksander. But you can call me Alek…if you want.” He shifted his gaze from the girl to the highly unentertaining ground. But watching the grass grow was so much easier than looking into an attractive girl’s eyes. His fingers shook restlessly on the neck of his guitar and he willed them to stop. For once he’d like to look normal. And with a freshly new acquaintance this was the perfect time to do it. With a new determined attitude he shoved his hands into his pockets and smiled sheepishly at his visitor. Smiling was good. It was warm and welcoming but didn’t involve talking. No matter how much Alek tried he knew that the minute words started coming out of his mouth whatever relation he could have had with the individual was gone. That’s why Alek hoped that just maybe he might find someone who wasn’t so talkative and didn’t mind the silence that he possessed with abundance. Pfft, like that will ever happen.

_______________________________________________ Alek. Yeahh, I'll call him that... His real name sounds like a jumblee. Haa. She continued smiling as she let him finish talking which did not take too long, not long at all. "It's nice to meet you Alek. I'm Natalie by the way, some people call me Nat." She continued on smiling, showing those dreaded braces that she would be glad to get off soon... for the second time. Not wearing her retainer wasn't smart. She would be smiling for a while though. She always did, everyone even said she smiled too much. But Natalie was just too friendly not to smile until she was use to the person she was around.
Getting tired of standing Natalie slowly sat down in front of Alek. Pushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear she sat her stuff down beside her. Getting comfortable since she didn't know if she would be sitting there for a while or not she waited to here what else Alek had to say. She watched him for a minute. Notcing him loosening up a bit. She didn't know exactly why he insisted on looking at the grass since it really wasn't that interesting at all.
"So, you play the guitar?" She couldn't help but randomly blurt that out since it was pretty cool that he did. And maybe he was good at it unlike some people she knew... or herself. She would have laughed if she was by herself as she thought of the few times she attempted to learn to play the guitar. She had failed miserably every single time she tried. But it was no big deal for her really, since it wasn't something she terribly wanted to learn how to do. There was other things she was good at too, or could be.
Looking down at the grass to see what was so interesting apparently she saw nothing... interesting atleast. She figured, she could kind of teal actually, that he was shy so that was probably why Alek was not looking at her. But this was also not a big deal for her. She didn't need that much attention at all.
